Up Town.
Base of Blackcomb.
Singlehandedly rebranding Whistler's Upper Village as Up Town, is the HandleBar Cafe Apres.

Located in the Chamois Hotel the very base of Blackcomb Mountain the HandleBar is home to a terrific craft beer tap house that changes frequently to give guests the low down on the scene in the industry.

And so every once in a while they promote a Tap TakeOver night where specific breweries come in to show off their wares.

Recently local favourite Coast Mountain Brewery teamed up with New Westminster's Steel & Oak Brewing Co. to put on a show that drew patrons to Whistler's UP TOWN.

Home to the Fairmont Chateau Whistler and The Four Seasons, Whistler's Upper Village really is Up Town to the array of residences that make up Whistler Village.

Not just a draught house The HandleBar offers a nice selection of sausages as well.

HandleBar Whistler A nicely browned Tuscan Chicken affair served with Quinoa salad, feta, dates and honey mustard for dipping made for a lovely snack one afternoon.

Other sausage offerings like Wild Boar with apple and Lamb Merquez meet up with potato salad, crispy Brussel sprouts and fried pickles.

An alternative idea to accommpany a sleeve of beer are warm sea salt pretzels with spicy German mustard that seem to fly out of the kitchen.

Available for private affairs, casual get togethers or full on friends feasts on the patio it's a great place to meet.

The HandleBar is an inspired spot bound to energize Whistler's Upper Village.

The simple idea to rebrand its location as Up Town shows creativity that never seems to end in a crossroads of the planet place like Whistler.
